Jackie Harvey

Jackie C. Harvey, 81, of Jakin, GA, passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 at her residence. The graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Harvey Cemetery on River Road, Jakin, GA with Rev. Garth Duke-Barton and Rev. Charles Dennis officiating. Mrs. Harvey was born February 3, 1932 in Blakely, GA, the daughter of George Jackson Correll and Sarah Malinda Davis Correll. She was a homemaker and member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Donalsonville, GA. Mrs. Harvey was also a member of her local Cancer Society, a quilting club, and a bridge club. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Rev. Doug Harvey of Jakin, GA; her children, Branan Harvey of Jakin, GA, Sarah Avery of Jakin, GA, and Rebecca Luke of Valdosta, GA; her sister, Patricia Cox of Lindenhurst, IL; and her grandchildren, George Q. Avery of Jakin, GA and Adair E. Carter of Valdosta, GA. She was preceded in death by her brother, Carlton L. Correll.
