James Brown

Mr. James (Jim) William Brown. age 82, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017, at his home in Bainbridge, Georgia. Services for Mr. Brown will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 11, 2017, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. The Rev. David Toler will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 1:00. James (Jim) William Brown was born August 9, 1935, in Lake Park, Georgia, to Ollie Brown and Clara Day Brown. Jim proudly served in the U. S. Army. He married the love of his life, Patricia Spillane. Jim and Patricia have been married for 59 years. He was a member of the Covenant Christian Church. Jim worked hard to support his family. He never met a stranger. Jim Brown will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Patricia Spillane Brown of Bainbridge; children, Debra Brown Dodson and husband, Rick of Bainbridge, James H. Brown of Bainbridge, Tina Brown Shinall and husband, Chad of Bainbridge, and Sue Brown Ahearn and husband, Chris of Douglas, Georgia; grandchildren, Tiffany A. Scott, Brian Mathews, David Brown, Daniel Brown, James Brown, Annie Williams, Patricia Brown, Sadie Ahearn, and Martina Duncan; great grandchildren, Tyler, Brylee, Damian, Zoey, Nicholas, Aysa, and Madilyn. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, David William Brown, granddaughter, Angel Brown, and 3 siblings.
