James Cook

Mr. James Peter (Pete) Cook, age 57, died Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Archbold Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia. A memorial service will be held in his honor at 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 20, 2020, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. The Rev. Eric Mitchell will officiate. The family will receive friends at the conclusion of the service. In accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing and to wear protective masks. Mr. James Peter (Pete) Cook was born November 15, 1962 in Bainbridge, Georgia. His parents, James Perry Cook and Mavis Ann Eidson Cook, have preceded him in death. Pete was a talented welder and fabricator. He took excellent care of his mother's grass, flowers, and cats and enjoyed that chore. Pete had many friends and lived every day to the fullest. He loved life and will be greatly missed. James Peter Cook is survived by his son, James Peter Cook, Jr. and wife, Ashley of Preston, Mississippi; siblings, Delila Reynolds and husband, Flint of Bainbridge, Perry Cook of Whigham, Mechille Cook of Bainbridge, and Dale Cook and wife, Lisa of Eldorendo, Georgia; grandchildren, Jayden, Braylie, and Lily Cook of Preston, Mississippi; stepmother, Joy Cook of Bainbridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
