Mr. James E. (Jimmy) Dean, 68, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, GA. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 13, 2010 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mr. Dean was born March 30, 1941 in Whigham, GA, the son of Jesse Wayne Dean and Alberta Owens Dean. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1959 and a member of Black Jack Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Norma Jean Dunn Dean, and a sister, Sarah D. Siegel. Survivors include two daughters, Carla Dean Batchelor and her husband Michael of Loganville, GA and Aimee Dean of Bainbridge, GA and his sister, Martha D. Samay of Oceanside, CA.
