James Arthur Givens, 77, of Albany, GA, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020. A private service will be held at Floral Memory Gardens in Albany, GA. James Arthur Givens was born November 30, 1942 in Blakely, GA, the son of Robert and Kathleen Rachel Givens. Knowing the value of hard work and feeling a sense of duty, James proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Upon his return, he and his wife, Jene, opened their home to many children in foster care over the years. James worked as a glass installer until his retirement. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Jene Givens.
