James Quentin "Jim" Ivey, 60, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Brown officiating, and will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be at Oak City Cemetery with Jay Ivey, Richard Ivey, Frank Gibson, Forrest Elkins, Ed Flowers, and Dick Youmans serving as active pallbearers. Jim was born May 4, 1955 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Ralph M. Ivey and Caroline Fain Ivey. He was a member of the Bainbridge High School Class of 1973 and a graduate of Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science. He was a funeral director for Ivey Funeral Home in Bainbridge, GA and Roswell Funeral Home in Roswell, GA. His favorite things in life were his family, his friends, Elvis, and Star Trek. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Jim is survived by his brothers, Dick Ivey and his wife, Diane, of Bainbridge, GA and Jeff Ivey of Bainbridge, GA; his sister, Mary Ivey Dyer of Lawrenceville, GA; his nephews, Richard Ivey, Jr. and Jay Ivey; his nieces, Caroline (Dee Dee) Mousset, Amy Ivey Andrews, Mary Beth Ivey Smith, Ashley Hickmon, Caroline Ivey, and Catherine Ivey; his great-nephews, Andrew and Alexandre; and his great-nieces, Mallie Kate, Avery, Sutton, and Ellie Jane. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph M. "Jake" Ivey, Jr.
