James "Eddie" Jacobson, 64, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Monday, May 25, 2009 at Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2009 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Dewitt Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Beulah Thomas Baptist Church Cemetery with John Godwin, Johnny McDonald, Joe Kimbrel, Frankie Kelley, Jr., Harry Bridges, and Stevie Scott serving as active pallbearers. The Patriot Guard Riders will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 28, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Edward Jacobson and his mother Mary Margaret Ritter Jacobson Godwin; and two sons, Christopher Jacobson and Jamie Jacobson. Survivors include his wife, Vera Sizemore Robinson of Bainbridge, GA; two sons, Roger N. Robinson of Gravette, AR and Leslie A. Robinson of Bainbridge, GA; two daughters, Mary Robinson-Scott and Jennifer M. Caldwell, both of Bainbridge, GA; three brothers, Leroy Jacobson and Aubrey Jacobson, both of Memphis, TN, and Frank Godwin of Bainbridge, GA; three sisters, Joyce Bryant and Ann Godwin, both of Albany, GA, and Evelyn Franklin of Bainbridge, GA; eleven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
