Mr. James William Mock, 58, of Thomasville, GA passed away Friday May 8, 2009 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2009 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Nichols officiating. Interment will follow at White's Bridge Cemetery near Colquitt, GA. The Patriot Guard Riders will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 10, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a truck driver, and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter W. Mock, and a sister, Lawanna Diane Mock. Survivors include his wife, Maria Mock of Thomasville, GA; four sons, James Mock and Nathan Mock, both of Detroit, MI, Brad Mock and Steven Mock, both of Thomasville, GA; four daughters, Valerie McQuate of Orlando, FL, Angela Stoudenmire of Clermont, FL, Crystal Mock of Detroit, MI, and Aurora Mock of Thomasville, GA; his mother, Inez Addison Mock of Thomasville, GA; three brothers, Wayne Mock of Clearwater, FL, Mike Mock and David Mock, both of Thomasville, GA; four sisters, Elaine Sheffield of Lakeland, FL, Shirley Thomas of Thomasville, GA, Debbie Tanner of Blakely, GA and Teresa Barber of Ochlocknee, GA; and ten grandchildren.
