James T. Morris, 79, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Monday, August 24, 2009 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Haskell White, Dr. Roger Richards, and Rev. David Harrell officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens with nephews serving as active pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Loyal Soldiers Sunday School Class of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Morris was born March 20, 1930 in Edison, GA, the son of James Henry Morris and Bertha McFather Morris. He graduated from Morgan High School and served in the U. S. Army. He was the owner of Morris Installment Company and attended Calvary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Adams Morris. Survivors include three daughters, Deborah M. Jones of Bainbridge, GA, Gwen Morris of Bainbridge, GA, and Vickie M. Norris (David) of Anderson, SC; a brother, Ernest S. Morris of Rockledge, FL; a sister, Estelle Alexander of Baconton, GA; a grandson, Joseph Adam Jones (Rebecca) of Bainbridge, GA; and two great-grandchildren, Graceanne and Brantley Daven.
