James Warren (Curly) O'Quinn, 91, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Riverside Place. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Mosley officiating and will conclude at the church. Interment will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mr. O'Quinn was born February 18, 1921 in Dowling Park, FL, the son of Warren Fredrick O'Quinn and Hattie Lee Thompson O'Quinn. He was a graduate of West Bainbridge High School, Class of 1938. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during World War II, and retired from Seaboard Coast Line Railroad after 42 years service as a conductor. Mr. O'Quinn was a member of First United Methodist Church, Bainbridge Country Club, Orion Lodge #8 F. & A.M., Bainbridge Shrine Club, Hasan Shrine Temple, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4904, and American Legion Post 62. He volunteered at Memorial Hospital and was the first male to work with the American Red Cross Gray Ladies. Survivors include his son, Warren O'Quinn of Bainbridge, GA; his daughter, Sylvia O'Quinn Parker and her husband, Phil, of Falls Church, VA; his grandchildren, Ashley Parker and Laura Parker; and his sister-in-law, Montine O'Quinn of Bainbridge, GA. Mr. O'Quinn was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Walker O'Quinn; and his brothers, Fred O'Quinn and Jack O'Quinn..
