James Roy Phillips, 63, formerly of Donalsonville, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016.The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. James was a member of Corinth Free Will Baptist Church of Iron City, GA.James, known to many as Flash, was a hardworking man. He worked for many years with Inland and later with Mr. Pipps where he served as the fuel attendant supervisor. He earned the nickname Flash for completing his work so quickly. Flash loved serving his family and customers no matter the task.Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Janice Pate; his daughter, Tracey L. Pate and son-in-law, Justin Carlton; his granddaughter, Kelly Akehoe all of Bainbridge; and his brothers, Curtis Phillips of Bainbridge and Marlus Phillips of Donalsonville. In addition to his parents, Flash was preceded in death by his brother, David Phillips.
