Mr. James Scott Powell, formerly of Bainbridge, died at Berrien County Hospital in Nashville, Georgia, Friday, July 29, 2011. Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2011, graveside at Oak City Cemetery. Rev. Milton Harrison will be officiating. Scott was born March 31, 1961 to James Wilson and Betty Lorraine Spraggins Powell. He is survived by his sister, Karen Brooks and husband, Owens, of Nashville, Georgia; brother, Shane Mercer of Bainbridge, Georgia; nephew, Jake Brooks; nieces, Kimberly James and Barbara Brooks; and great niece, Meghan Blanchard.
