Jamie Hammer Smith

Jamie Lee Braswell Hammer Smith, age 60, sadly passed away after a long battle with cancer on March 21, 2025.

She was such a loving mother to her 3 sons, Daniel, James and Michael. She was also an adored grandmother.

Jamie has lived many lives, had many stories to tell, and she was adored by all who knew her. She was such a sweet woman who always went out of her way to simply say hi and try to make you smile. Anywhere she was, all you would hear is “Hey, Ms. Jamie” She was from Rhode Island but a real southern woman at heart who loved living in the country. She was a lover of all animals and loved being surrounded by her pets and nature. She was truly one of a kind and the world is a much darker place without the light and joy she blessed it with. Our heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and everyone else who made it a point to show up in support and allowed her to feel loved.
