Jammie H. King, 75, of Climax, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Big Bend Hospice Houses in Tallahassee, FL. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2007 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rollin Rathel officiating. Graveside Service will follow at 4:30 central standard time at Abe Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Paul Rorie, Shawn McKinney, Stewart Reynolds, Justin Stinson, Brad Reynolds, and Lance Reynolds serving as active pallbearers. Mr. King was born July 25, 1931in Seminole County, to the late James Benjamin Brown King and Alphia Mae House King. He was in the U.S. Army for two years, and then was employed as a pipe fitter for 50 years. He was a member of Abe Springs Baptist Church in Blountstown, Florida. Survivors include eight children; Dean King of Donalsonville, GA, Linda Parker of Crawfordville, FL, Jammie King Jr. (Toby) of Climax, GA, Benny King of Havanna, FL, Gina Carpenter of Panama City, FL, Aron Brent King of Tallahassee, FL, Sherry Grey of Virginia, and Willa Jean Camp of Warner Robbins, GA; a sister, Vina Rathel of Donalsonville, GA; 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
