Jan Hickey

Jan V. Hickey, 72, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Memorial Hospital. The memorial service will be at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2009 at Recovery United Methodist Church with Rev. Donna Sue Roberts officiating. Mrs. Hickey was born December 25, 1936 in Newton, IA, the daughter of Willis O. Miles and Gwen Crosby Miles. She graduated from Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis, IN and was a retired data entry operator for the Institute of Food and Agriculture Science at Florida State University. She was a member of Recovery United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Smith, and her last husband, Byron Hickey. Survivors include five sons, Mark Brooks (Dawn) of Peachtree City, GA, Mike Hamblen (Lisa) of Mattoon, IL, Doug Hamblen (Julie) of Avon, IN, David Hamblen (Beth) of Catlettsburg, KY, and Riley Hamblen of Jamestown, IN; a daughter, Sheryl (Dan) Webb of Crystal Lake, IL; a brother, Robert O. Miles of St. Petersburg, FL; two sisters, Yolande K. Liming of Indianapolis, IN, and Loanna Rockstroh of South Bend, IN; 22 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
