Janey Hobbs Williams, 70, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Attapulgus Church of God with Pastor Dana Swain officiating. Interment will follow at Brinson Cemetery with Jerry Cooper, Ronnie Spooner, Shaun Love, Michael Barber, Bruce Bennett, Chuck Ponder, and Mason Lafferty serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mrs. Williams was born December 14, 1942 in Chattahoochee, FL, the daughter of John Henry Hobbs and Willie Mae Pettis Hobbs. She was a graduate of Attapulgus High School, Class of 1961, and was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of Attapulgus Church of God. Survivors include her daughter, Kim Spooner and her husband, Ricky, of Climax, GA; her brothers, Ken Hobbs of Griffin, GA and Gary Hobbs of Brinson, GA; her sister, Janet Patterson of Thomasville, GA; her grandchildren, Dean Goff, Chris Goff, Rick Spooner, John McLendon, and Ashley Lafferty; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Williams; and her daughter, Michele Barineau.
