Janice Boutwell Miles, 56, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2009 at New Home Free Will Baptist Church #2 near Climax, GA with Rev. S. E. Newberry officiating. Interment will follow at New Home Free Will Baptist Church #2 Cemetery with Brantley Hall, Blake Hall, Darryl Cumbie, Wesley Cumbie, Taylor Cumbie, Johnathan Cumbie, Brian Henry and Shane Henry serving as active pallbearers. Janice was born April 4, 1953 in Decatur County, GA, the daughter of John Paul Boutwell and Mary Heard Boutwell. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1971 and an Accounting Paraprofessional for Bainbridge Probation Substance Abuse Treatment Center. Janice sang gospel music with the Cumbie Family for over twenty-five years and was a member of New Home Free Will Baptist Church #2. Survivors include her husband of thirty-eight years, Larry A. Miles of Bainbridge, GA; three daughters, Jennifer Miles of Donalsonville, GA, Valerie M. Davis and her husband Bryan of Donalsonville, GA and Melissa M. Cundiff and her husband Michael of Bainbridge, GA; three sisters, Belinda Cumbie and her husband Benny of Climax, GA, Donna Spooner of Camilla, GA and Teresa Henry and her husband Mike of Donalsonville, GA; her parents, John Paul and Mary Heard Boutwell of Climax, GA; and three grandchildren, Logan Davis, Jackson Davis and Miles Cundiff.
