Janie Mobley Cliett, 85, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011 in Tallahassee, FL. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. Carl G. Garnett officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Bill Bishop, Robby Rowe, Shane Cannon, Tim Pierce, and Marty Mobley serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Cliett was born March 8, 1926 in Grady County, GA, the daughter of William Asa Mobley and Piney Mae Knight Mobley. She was a wonderful Christian woman, mother, and known affectionately as "Mamaw" to her nineteen grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cliett worked diligently as a homemaker and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Nix and his companion, Alicia Martin, of Bainbridge, GA, Wayne Cannon and his wife, Wanda, of Bainbridge, GA, and Ricky Cannon and his wife, Pat, of Bainbridge, GA; her daughters, Sherry Cannon and her companion, Bryan Reynolds, of Albany, GA and Charlene Bishop and her husband, Billy, of St. Marks, FL; her nine grandchildren; and her ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jimmy Nix and William Cannon; and her son, Lamar Cannon.
