Jean Gute

Jean Battle Gute, 82, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Memorial Manor. The graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Oak City Cemetery with Dr. Gerald A. Little officiating. Mrs. Gute was born December 26, 1932 in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of Paul Harold Battle and Edna Huff Battle. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and attended Huntington College. Jean served for over twenty years with the Department of Family and Children's Services. Mrs. Gute was a woman who loved; she loved to walk, flowers, beagles, the Little Theatre, and her grandchildren most of all. Survivors include her children, George W. "Bill" Gute, III of Bainbridge, GA and Merry Ellen Spence of Kathleen, GA; and her grandchildren, Cayla Jean Gute of Bainbridge, GA, James William Spence of Athens, GA, and Anna Marie Spence of Kathleen, GA.
