Jeanne Glover

Jeanne C. Glover, 82, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mrs. Glover was born September 17, 1933 in Savannah, GA, the daughter of George Brinson Cowart, Sr. and Clara Murphree Jones Cowart. She was a graduate of Bainbridge Highschool, Class of 1950 and was a charter member of Morningside Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Mrs. Glover retired from Bainbridge State Hospital and after retirement served as a substitute teacher with Decatur County Schools. She was a member of the Dixie Darlings, and in her spare time enjoyed reading and working in her garden. Jeanne was an avid animal lover, and more than anything she loved her family. Survivors include her children, Kathy Glover Harris of Bainbridge, GA, Debra Glover Riddle of Bainbridge, GA and Roy K. Glover, Jr. and his wife, Jan, of Lagrange, GA; her 10 grandchildren; her 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and her beloved companion, Bella. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Kedric Glover, Sr.; her sons, Richard R. Glover and E. Wade Glover; and her brother, George B. Cowart, Jr.
