Jeannine Brooks Wester Davis, 79, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2008 at her residence. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Stephen L. Webb and Rev. Keith Alsbrook officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, July 25, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mrs. Davis was born March 24, 1929 in Colquitt, GA, the daughter of Charles Edward Brooks and Laverne Mays Brooks. She graduated from Miller County High School in 1946, and from Gulf Park College and the University of Georgia. She owned and operated Wester's Kiddie Kollege for many years, was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was active in the choir and the Heavenly Sunlight Singers. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Tommy Wester. Survivors include her husband, Spencer P "Onion" Davis of Bainbridge, GA; four sons, Thomas H. "Buddy" Wester, Jr. and his wife Tami of Bainbridge, GA, Chuck Wester and his wife Kaye of Bainbridge, GA, Spencer P Davis, Jr. and his wife Ann of Albany, GA, and John Davis and his wife Tonya of Valdosta, GA; four daughters, Wanda Wester and her husband Reggie Vetteto of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Sharon W. Shelton and her husband Scott of Marietta, GA, Diane D. Coakley and her husband Don of Mexico Beach, FL, and Fran D. Reynolds and her husband Len of Camilla, GA; one sister, Sylvia Larson of Colquitt, GA; eighteen grandchildren, Lyle Boyett, Kell Boyett, Grace Shelton, Barry Shelton, Jenny Wester, Justin Wester, Billy Ann Wachman, India Fessenden, Adrian Fessenden, Lofton Davis, Jake Davis, Maggie Davis, Lenzie Davis, Kelly Davis, Jenny Reynolds, Darby Reynolds, Ellie Coakley and Katie Coakley; and two great-grandchildren, Reese Wachman and Luke Boyett.
