Jennie Anderson

Jennie Ruth Anderson, 77, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Monday, November 21, 2011 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home. The graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Oak City Cemetery with Rev. David Grubbs officiating. Mrs. Anderson was born August 27, 1934 in Colquitt, GA, the daughter of Roy "Honey" Lovering and Maggie Lee Henry Lovering. She was a graduate of Miller County High School and lived most of her adult life in Troy, AL. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her son, Michael Bowen of St. Simons Island, GA; her daughters, Vicky Detling and her husband, Chalmer, of Decatur, AL, Joan King and her husband, Roy, of Albany, GA and LaJean Bowen of Bainbridge, GA; her sisters, Libby Gardner of Statesville, NC and Jeanette Bullard of Leaksville, MS; her grandchildren, Chalmer Detling, Melissa Byrd, Kristy Ingalls, Sarah Russell, James King, Ashley Sheffield, Michelle Popham, Shane Bowen; and her nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, William R. "Bill" Anderson.
