Mr. Jerry Lane Bell, age 76, passed away Friday, December 5, 2025, in Archbold Living, Cairo, Georgia.
Jerry Lane Bell was born April 26, 1949, in Bainbridge, Georgia, to Ernest Ray Bell and Willie Mae Wooten Bell. After graduating from high school, Jerry proudly served in the United States Army. Jerry returned home to farm. He was proud to be a farmer and worked hard. He worked on projects with the USDA for over 20 years and farmed the same land that his parents farmed. Jerry loved to make pepper sauce and boiled peanuts and made the best. He was a talker and always had a story or saying he loved to share. Jerry was a good man with lots of friends. He will be missed.
Jerry Lane Bell is survived by his children, Spence Ernest Bell of Climax, Georgia and Stewart Lane Bell (Jen) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his siblings, Maston Bell of Warner Robbins, Georgia, Luke Bell of Climax, and Donna Rackley (David) of Camilla, Georgia; grandchildren, Catherine Bell, Salen Bell, and Tristan Bell; sister-in-law, Linda Bell; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joey Lane Bell; and siblings, Ray Bell, Bennett Bell, and Conrad Bell; and sister-in-law, Jill Bell.
A celebration of life is being planned, time and date will be added. Mr. Bell will be buried in Mars Hill Cemetery.
