Jerry Knight

Funeral service for Jerry Lee Knight, 73, of Bainbridge, GA will be held Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 4:00 PM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Vuncannon and Dr. Danny Shepard officiating. Interment will follow in West Bainbridge Cemetery with Walter West, Randy Overstreet, John Smith, Greg Powell, Ricky Powell, and Ryan Powell serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will follow the services. Mr. Knight was born December 31, 1936 in Bainbridge, GA (Diffie, GA) to the now late Marcus Knight and Frances Butler Knight. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and worked as an engine repairman for Flint River Electric, Bainbridge, GA. He was married to the now late Ann M. Gause Knight and was a member of West Bainbridge Baptist Church. He loved fishing, had a need for speed, and was a gun enthusiast. Mr. Knight passed away at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, GA Thursday, April 22, 2010. He is survived by his mother, Frances Butler Knight of Bainbridge, GA; two sons, Michael Knight (wife Linda) of Bainbridge, GA and Terry Knight (wife Tina) of Bainbridge, GA; three daughters, Rhonda West (husband Walter) of Bainbridge, GA, Crystal Overstreet (husband Randy) of Sylvania, GA, and Renee Smith (husband John) of Statesboro, GA; one sister, Gail Powell of Bainbridge, GA; eight grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Mr. Knight is preceded in death by his father, Marcus Knight and his wife Ann M. Gause Knight.
