Jessie Ralph Floyd

Mr. Jessie Ralph Floyd, age 70, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Archbold Medical in Cairo, Georgia.

Jessie Ralph Floyd was born July 20, 1955, in Dale County, Alabama, to Jessie O. and Ouida Mae Collum Floyd. His parents have preceded him in death. He grew up in the Midland City area, working in and around Dothan for Howell Plywood Company and Guthrie Wood Works. The last few years, he has lived in Bainbridge, Georgia and later cared for by Pinewood Nursing Center in Whigham, Georgia. Some people called him Jessie, and some called him Ralph, but all knew to call him at mealtimes. Jessie loved to eat. He especially liked to eat at Ricky's Buffet in Bainbridge. Fishing, listening to music, and watching videos brought him tons of pleasure. He enjoyed wrestling and was a fan of "Bad to the Bone". Jessie loved to attend church and loved the folks at Climax Baptist Church. Mr. Floyd loved his family and will be deeply missed.

Jessie Ralph Floyd is survived by his brother, James Floyd of Cowarts, Alabama; his sister, Virginia Mercer (Perry) of Ozark, Alabama; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Rev. Steve Brooks.
