Jimmie Norene Ellis, 83, of Iron City, GA, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mylan Brookins officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2015 prior to the service. She was a homemaker and Methodist by faith. Survivors include her husband of over 64 years, Earl Ellis of Iron City; her daughter, Glenda E. Roberts of Iron City; her granddaughters, Jada Gordon Davies and her husband Dr. Robert Davies of Jacksonville, FL and Sable Roberts of Iron City and abroad; her great-grandchildren, Brantley Downing and Marcus Davies; and her sister, Agnes W. Barbee of Grand Ridge, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Benton W. (Buddy) Roberts, Jr.; and her brothers, Glen Whiddon, Hayes Whiddon, Billy Ray Whiddon, and Chester Whiddon, Jr.
