Joan Harper Wade, 70, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Memorial Hospital. The graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Centerville United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Milton Harrison officiating. Active pallbearers will be Taylor Lane, McCall Burney, and Bryan Busby. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Ivey Funeral Home. Mrs. Wade was born September 21, 1943 in Blakely, GA, the daughter of William Lawrence Harper and Juanita Gowan Harper. She was a loving and devoted homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her daughter, Tina Michelle Kendrick of Bainbridge, GA; her son, Randy Williams and his wife, Erin, of Colquitt, GA; her siblings, Bill Harper and his wife, Pat, of Ocala, FL and Carolyn McCain and her husband, Ed, of Bainbridge, GA; her 4 grandchildren; and her 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy E. Wade; her daughter Sherri Anne Williams; her sister, Shirley Branson, and an infant sister.
