Joanne Johns

Joanne (Tiny) Virginia Johns passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, in Lexington, KY. She was 86 years old. Joanne was born in Recovery, Georgia on March 10, 1936 to Vivian and Clifford Johns. She grew up in Chattahooche, Florida and attended Florida State University. She went on to live in Lancaster, PA, Macon, GA, and Bainbridge, GA. Joanne had lived in Lexington, KY since 2009. Joanne was an accomplished pianist. She taught piano lessons and played the piano for several churches she attended through the years. Joanne is survived by one daughter, Darby (Walt) Elliott Koteff in Lexington, KY. Joanne has three grandchildren, Christina Marie Koors (deceased), Robert (Faith) Elliott Koteff in Indianapolis, IN, and Kimberly Nadean Koteff in Lexington, KY. Joanne has two sisters; Betty Jane Johns Bevis (deceased) and Netty Jean Johns Bradford in Tallahassee, FL. She also has five nephews and two nieces. Following a brief service in Lexington, KY, Joanne will be buried at the Sylvania Cemetery in Bainbridge, GA on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Cox Funeral Home in Bainbridge is handling the arrangements.
