Joe Leslie Darley, 73, of Albany, GA, and formerly of Bainbridge, GA passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Willson Hospice House in Albany, GA. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Delwood Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Hall and Rev. Andy Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Delwood Baptist Church Cemetery with Andy Moss, Landon Lanier, Shannon Brock, Kevin Kearns, Jimmy Pollock, Gary Wooten, Oliver Smith, Trevor Pollock, and William Darley serving as active pallbearers. Mr. Darley was born June 17, 1940 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Bob Cannon Darley and Elma Burnum Darley. He lived in several cities in Georgia and recently moved back to Albany. He was a landscaper and former owner of Decatur Garden & Farm Supply in Bainbridge. Mr. Darley was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, GA and was a former member of Delwood Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughters, Leslie South and her husband, Ronny, of Braselton, GA and Cyndi Williams and her husband, Kerry, of Monroe, GA; his siblings, Gordon Darley and his wife, Eleanor, of Albany, GA and Geraldine Kearns of Quincy, FL; and his grandchildren, Lyndsey South, Kaelyn Darley, Kamryn Darley, Timothy Darley; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Bobby Darley, Ehrlich Darley, Verlyn Smith, and Sara Mae Darley; and his former wife, Emily Darley.
