Joe Taylor

Joe B. Taylor, 78, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at his residence. There will be no local services. Interment will be at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to a charity of choice. Mr. Taylor was born August 25, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of John B. Taylor and Maddie Christine Forbes Taylor. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. Mr. Taylor was a newspaper printer for the Palm Beach Post Times was a talented artist who painted many beautiful pictures. The family would like to thank Hospice of Southwest Georgia, Pastor Robert Johns, and the Faceville community. Survivors include his step-son, Marvin Tomlinson of Marietta, GA; his step-daughters, Lorraine Guffey and her husband, Russell, of Bainbridge, GA, Sandra Howell of Bainbridge, GA, and Faith Case and her husband, Tommy, of Stockbridge, GA; his brother Steve Taylor of Massachusetts; his sister, Adele Monte and her husband, Ken, of Ocala, FL; his 13 grandchildren; his 24 great-grandchildren; and his great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wives, Lillie Mae Taylor and Mary Faith Taylor; and his brother, Stuart Taylor.
