John H. Dick, Jr. November 11,1957 - August 28, 2021 John H. Dick, Jr., 63, of Iron City, GA, passed away August 28, 2021. A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. John was born November 11, 1957 in Dothan, AL, the son of Reta Lou Godfrey Dick and John Dick, Sr. He graduated in 1975 from Jonesboro High School and then Bainbridge College. He was Methodist by faith. John worked at Lewis M. Carter Manufacturing for 34 years as an engineer and for the last 6 years for Merritt Mechanical in Cairo, GA. He loved guns and hunting. His family will always remember his love for cooking and the way he could make a smoker or grill sing. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Brenda Dick; son, Jason Dick of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Shelby Dick (William) of Donalsonville, Ga; sister, Terri Jackson (Howard) of Monticello, GA; brother, Chuck Dick (Cheryl) of Sandy Springs, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by both his parents and his step mother, Helen Brookins Dick.
