John Downing

John was born January 13, 1951 in Troy, AL, the son of Palmer Downing and Mildred Hudson Downing. He was a graduate of Hurtsboro High School and a retired car salesman. He was an avid sports fan. Survivors include his daughters, Tracy Jackson and her husband, Chuck, of Dothan, AL, and Jessica Sorrow and her husband, Joshua, of Camilla, GA; his son, Shawn Tyler Downing of Colquitt, GA; his siblings, Linda Sue Ellis and her husband, Marvin, of Brundidge, AL, Martha Hobby of Blakely, GA, Randy Downing and his wife, Rhonda, of Bainbridge, GA, Sheila Jenkins of Pelham, GA, Sandra Smith of Bainbridge, GA, Diane Sorrells of Brundidge, AL, Donna Jackson of Blakely, GA, Andy Downing of Brundidge, AL, and Daniel Downing of Bainbridge, GA; and his grandchildren, Allison Blair Sorrow, Whitley Zeb Wiggins, Daniel Troy Hancock, Adriana Brynn Sorrow, Joshua Todd Sorrow, II, and Charles B. Jackson, III.
