John Charles Howell, 63, of Havana, FL, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel With Rev Bob Tindale officiating. Interment will follow at Sylvania Cemetery with Terry Smith, Gary Wynn, Allen Lee, David Butler, Troy Stencil and Johnny Cannon serving as active pallbearers. Mr. Howell was born May 25, 1945 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of John William Howell and Bertie Whiddon Howell. He was a graduate of Attapulgus High School, Class of 1963. He was a farmer, owner and operator of the construction company Howell Enterprises and a member of Killearn United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Judy Duke Howell of Havana, FL; his son, Chuck Howell of Tallahassee, FL; and his sister, Sue Lee of Thomasville, GA.
