John C. Pritzl, 80, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008 at his residence. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2008 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Stephen L. Webb and Dr. Danny Shepard officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Oscar Dewberry, Bill Holt, Turner Barber, Bruce Kirbo, J. A. "Skeet" Olive, Larry Kelley, Greg Burch, and John Watts serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 21, 2008 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. Mr. Pritzl was born February 18, 1928 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of John Pritzl and Anna Maria Dobner Pritzl. He graduated from Boys Tech High School in Milwaukee, WI, attended the University of Wisconsin, and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was the retired Chief Design Engineer for Miller-Hydro Co. and a member of First United Methodist Church and the Bainbridge Kiwanis Club. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Pritzl. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Calista Mock Pritzl of Bainbridge, GA; his son, Karl Pritzl of Tallahassee, FL; his daughters, Karen Pritzl and her partner Pam Shank of Tallahassee, FL, Alice P. Malone and her husband Tommy of Havana, FL, and Anna P. Smith and her husband, Eric of Tallahassee, FL; and four grandchildren, Mark Pritzl, Callie Malone, Nevin Smith, and John Smith.
