John Staples

John Staples, age 61, formerly of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017, in Franklin, North Carolina. Services for Mr. Staples will be held Saturday, May 6, 2:00 p.m., at the First Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. David Grubbs will be officiating. A private burial will follow in Roselawn Memory Gardens. Big John was born in Orlando, Florida to Elwin and Elizabeth Staples. He and his family moved to Bainbridge when John was in high school. Mr. Staples is a retired truck driver. He drove for F.R.M. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. John Staples will be missed by his family and many friends. John Leslie Staples is survived by his sons, John A. Staples and wife, Dealana of Franklin, North Carolina, Chris Staples and companion, Kylie Swicord and her children, Gage, Hunter and Kenzie of Bainbridge; brother, Raymond Staples and wife, Pamala of Bainbridge; and 3 grandchildren, Alyssa Staples, C. J. Staples, and Nathan Hilburn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elwin and Elizabeth Staples and nephew, Bradly Staples.
