Johnny Sorrow

Funeral Services for Johnny Floyd Sorrow, Jr. will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 2:00 PM at New Home Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Benny Cumbie officiating. Interment will follow in New Home Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, with Dewayne Sorrow, Randall Foister, Donald Pollock, Steve Brock and Kevin Pollock serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held Tuesday July 28, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Sorrow was born April 22, 1955 in Decatur County, Georgia to Johnny Floyd, Sr. and Hazel Wynel Scott Sorrow. He was a lifelong resident of Decatur County. He was a construction worker in the metal fabrication business. Mr. Sorrow was an outdoors person and loved hunting, fishing and woodworking. He was a member of New Home Freewill Baptist Church # 2. He passed away Monday, July 27, 2009 at Archbold Medical Center. He is survived by his daughter: Carolina Machelle Sorrow of McDonough, GA: son Johnny Dakota of McDonough, GA, sister Kathy Elizabeth Harrell (husband Mike) of Climax, GA: two brothers: Terry Lynn Sorrow of Bainbridge, GA and Timothy Dewayne Sorrow of Whigham, GA: eleven aunts and uncles; several cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
