Joseph Nelson

Joseph Richard Nelson, 62, of Lake Seminole, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Gulf Coast Medical Center. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Seminole Shores Cemetery. Joseph was born December 28, 1953 in Panama City, FL, the son of Blake Nelson and Sarah Knight Nelson. He was a hard worker who retired from Southeastern Minerals as a Maintenance Supervisor. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his family. Survivors include his sons, Shawn Nelson and his wife, Brandy, Joey Nelson, Jeffery Nelson and his wife, Christine, and Daniel Womble and his wife, Brittany, all of Lake Seminole; his grandchildren, Savannah Morgan Nelson, Sarah Grace Nelson, Kolten Gage Nelson, Tanner Womble, Landon Womble, and Cooper Womble; his siblings, Emma Miller and her husband, Eddie, of Grand Prairie, TX, Hazel Denton and her husband, Bo, Raymond Nelson and his wife, Frances, Wallace Nelson and his wife, Diane, and Shirley Williams and her husband, N.D., all of Panama City, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Nelson; siblings, Lois Adkins, Howard Nelson, Gordon Nelson, Leroy Nelson and Frances Nelson.
