Joseph R. Rehberg, 84, of Climax, GA, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Select Specialty Hospital in Tallahassee, FL. The graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Rev. Tegler Greer and Mr. Vern Ellis officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at his residence, 261 Earl Hester Road, Climax, GA 39834. Mr. Rehberg was born August 4, 1927 in Ochlocknee, GA, the son of Joseph Riley Rehberg and Nancy Ella Griffin Rehberg. After graduating from Ochlocknee High School, he served in the United States Navy and then attended Florida State University. Mr. and Mrs. Rehberg were owners and operators of commercial and vacation rentals in Mexico Beach, FL until their retirement and move to Climax, GA in 1995. Mr. Rehberg was a member of the Mexico Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Mexico Beach United Methodist Church, and, following his retirement, the Climax United Methodist Church in Climax, GA. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Reba Hester Rehberg of Climax, GA; his two sisters, Anne Laura Holsenbeck of Jacksonville, FL and Jaunita Rehberg Pyles of Whigham, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
