Joyce Cooper Dorminey, 75, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Bainbridge Healthcare. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Emory Smith and Rev. Donna Sue Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Greenshade Cemetery with Jeff Jeter, Greg Jeter, Kyle Duke, Ronnie Spooner, Marty Thomas, Stanley Olivent, serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitt Jeter, Colby German, Casey Hyatt, Kevin Rowan, Zack Givens, and Matt Rowan. Mrs. Dorminey was born June 1, 1938 in Two Egg, FL, the daughter of Zack Howard Hyatt and Laura Elizabeth Smith Hyatt. She was a graduate of Faceville High School, Class of 1956, and retired as a case manager for Decatur Seminole Training Center. Survivors include her husband, Oliver Clyde Dorminey of Bainbridge, GA; her nieces and nephews, Ronald Hyatt, and his wife, Niven, of Faceville, GA, Chris Hyatt of Faceville, GA, Chad Hyatt of Tallahassee, FL, Tanner Hyatt of Bainbridge, GA, Natalie Little of Carrabelle, FL, and Kim Rowan and her husband, Matt, of Quincy, FL; her sister, Jean Little of Quincy, FL; her brother-in-law, Garthon Dorminey, and his wife, Ann; her sister-in-law, Hilda Fletcher; 2 great-nieces; 4 great nephews; and 3 great-great nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Cooper; her brother, Buddy Hyatt; and her brother-in-law, Gerald Little.
