Funeral Services for Mrs. Joyce Ann Norred Brown, 67, of Bainbridge, GA will be held Monday, October 20, 2008 at 11:00 AM at New Fountain Head Baptist Church with Rev. James Henry "Hank" Williams Jr. and Rev. Bruce Hoose officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memory Gardens with Bo King, Steve King, David Stewart, Albert Maxam, Hugh McElroy, John Jenson, and Sandy Bridges serving as active pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mrs. Brown's Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 19, 2008 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Brown was born January 27, 1941 in Decatur County, GA to the now late Dawson B. Norred and Bertha L. Stripling Spooner. She was married to Walter D. Brown and was a homemaker. She lived in Bainbridge most all of her life, but moved to Tampa, FL with her husband while he was in the U.S. Armed Forces and moved back to Bainbridge in 1972. She was a member of New Fountain Head Baptist Church and loved to bake, cook, and fish. Mrs. Brown passed away at her residence Friday, October 17, 2008. She is survived by two daughters, Yvonne Gordon of Bainbridge, GA and Sherry Maxam of Cairo, GA; three sons, Danny (Wife Nadine) Brown of Bainbridge, GA, Gary (Wife Bonnie) Brown of Leesburg, GA, and Michael (Wife Barbara) Brown of Bainbridge, GA; three sisters, Nettie (Husband Talmadge) Glover of Camilla, GA, Grace McElroy of Liberty, SC, and Mary Bridges of Brinson, GA; fiveGrandchildren, and four Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
