Julia Taliaferro Jones, 70, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Danny Shepard officiating. Interment will follow at Brinson Cemetery in Brinson, GA. Julia was born December 9, 1939 in Brinson, GA and was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1957. She was a homemaker and a member of Brinson United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Cherry Harden Taliaferro; her mother, Clara Mae Brown Taliaferro Drew; and her brother, Harden Taliaferro. Survivors include her sons, Floyd Marvin Jones, Jr. of Atlanta, GA and Brian Jones of Combs, AR; her brothers, Earl Taliaferro of Atlanta, GA, Kenneth Taliaferro of Snellville, Ga, Cherry Taliaferro of Bishop, GA, and Jimmy Taliaferro of Tallahassee, FL; her sisters, Eleanor T. Lloyd of Columbia, SC and Myrle T. Culverson of Snellville, GA; and eight grandchildren.
