Julian Cook

Mr. Julian Lee Cook, 88, of Cartersville, GA, passed away Monday, October 1, 2007 at Starcrest of Cartersville. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Hazel officiating. A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Cairo Cemetery in Cairo, GA. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 6, 2007 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. Mr. Cook was born July 9, 1919 in Vidalia, GA to the late John Wesley Cook and Louray Smith Cook. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army, having fought in the Normandy Campaigns. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lorraine Kain Cook of Cartersville, GA; his son and daughter-in-law, John and Terri Cook of Cartersville, GA; and his granddaughter, Courtney Dean Cook.
