April 12, 1941 — December 3, 2008

Julian K. "Gator" Mobley, 67, of Climax, GA, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at his residence. The memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stanley Phillips and Rev. Steve Poppell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church, 2861 Spring Creek Road, Brinson, GA 39825. Mr. Mobley was born April 12, 1941 in Grady County, GA, the son of Eugene Mobley and Anna Maxwell Mobley. He served in the United States Air Force, was a carpenter/painter and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jimmy Mobley, Tommy Mobley and Ronnie Mobley and his sister, Betty Mobley Byrd. Survivors include three sons, Glenn K. Mobley and his wife Jackie of Cairo, GA, Greg E. Mobley and his wife Sandy of Climax, GA and Trent Odom of Climax, GA; his daughter, Lily Mobley of Climax, GA; two brothers, Buddy Mobley of Dearing, GA and George Mobley of Whigham, GA; two sisters, Ruth Elian of Ochlocknee, GA and Wilma Brinson of Whigham, GA; two grandchildren, Thomas G. Mobley of Climax, GA and Jennifer Mobley of Cairo, GA and companion Polly Mobley.
