June Lashley

We regret to announce the death of June Ellen Smith Lashley, age 61, who passed away Monday, January 27, 2025, at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, Georgia. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. at the Cadwell Chapel of the Cox-Ivey Funeral Home with Rev. DeWitt Phillips officiating.

Mrs. Lashley was born on May 11, 1963 in Marion, Indiana to Buford Earl Smith, Jr. and Ruth Cole Smith. June was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and was employed at Harvey’s and Dixie Dandy as a meat cutter. She loved to spend time with her family and going off with the grandchildren. She was loved by everyone who always said she was a very sweet person. She was kind to everyone and will be missed by her family, her friends and her co-workers.

June Lashley is survived by her daughter, April Cantley and her husband, Arthur L. Cantley, Jr. of Bainbridge; her mother, Ruth Smith; brother, Joey Stobe; and her grandchildren, Mia and Wyatt Cantley.
