June White

Mrs. June Sumner White passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at her home in Cairo, Georgia. Services for Mrs. White will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Greenwood Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Ron McCaskill will be officiating. June Sumner was born January 21, 1932, in Ocala, Florida, to Harvey Mason Sumner and Esther Reddick Sumner. She married the love of her life, Jim White. They were married over 60 years. June was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cairo and the Cairo Woman's Club. She was an animal lover. June was a selfless, caring mother. She will be sorely missed by the family she loved so much. June Sumner White is survived by her husband, Jim White, Sr. and children, Cynthia White Camilleri of Asheville, North Carolina, Jim White, Jr. of Cairo, and Jeff White of Cairo. She has a grandson, Alex Camilleri of Asheville, North Carolina, and sister, Carolyn Sumner Walker and husband, Jimmy of Valdosta, Georgia.
