Katherine Miller Adkinson, 79, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Nalls officiating and will conclude in the chapel. Interment will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mrs. Adkinson was born September 15, 1932 in Miller County, GA, the daughter of Paul Miller and Willie DeBerry Miller. She was a graduate of West Bainbridge High School, worked at ITT Plastics for many years, and attended Southwest Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, James E. "Buddy" Adkinson, Jr. of Bainbridge, GA; her daughters, Nelwyn Poyner and her husband, Roger, of Pauls Valley, OK and Nelda Burch and her husband, Steve, of Bainbridge, GA; her sisters, Paula Permenter of Auburndale, FL and Anita Bentley of Orlando, FL; her grandchildren, Aaron Kelley, Erik Kelley, Bryan Burch, Brandi Adkinson, and Denne Adkinson; and her five great-grandchildren.
