Katherine Glass Lashley, 89, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Grubbs officiating.  Interment will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Susie Katherine Glass was born October 19, 1928 in Cedar Springs, GA, the daughter of Edgar and Estell Mathis Glass. She worked as a bus driver for Decatur County Schools and as a nursing assistant at Memorial Hospital and Manor. Katherine was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Described as a head strong, high strung woman with a heart of gold, Katherine helped anyone in need. She loved her "bus children" as if they were her own. She enjoyed working in her yard. Katherine always put her family first and spoiled her grands like nobody's business. Survivors include her son, Wayne Lashley and his wife, Janice, of Havana, FL; her grandson, Bobby Lashley and his wife, Betty, of Cairo, GA; and her great-grandchildren, Bradley and Ethan. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents.
