Kathy Turner

Kathryn Green Turner, lovingly known as Kathy, age 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. Mrs. Turner will be buried with her parents in Attapulgus Cemetery.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home. Kathy’s son-in-law, Phillip Martin, Jr., will officiate the service. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.

Kathy was born on August 23, 1951, to R.L. Green and Deloris Pitts Green. She spent her working years caring for others, first at Quincy Animal Hospital and later with North Florida Women’s Group.

Kathy loved music and dancing, as well as spending time at the beach and fishing. Above all, she had an incredible love for animals. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on through her family, friends, and the many lives she touched.

She is survived by her only child, Melissa Ann Martin, and her husband, Phillip Martin, Jr.; her brother, Michael Green; her only grandchild, Brittany Nicole Carr, and her husband, Shawn Carr; and her three great-grandsons, Ryder Carr, Gunner Carr, and Camden Carr.

Though she is no longer with us, Kathy’s memory will remain in the hearts of her family and loved ones, where she will be remembered and thought of often.
