Kelly R. Brown, 27, of the Recovery Community, near Bainbridge, GA, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2008 at Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jean Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery with Don Searan, Patrick Bryant, David Sellers, Scotty Lewis, Ray Givens, Harold Vickers, Jr. and Lee Powell serving as active pallbearers. Kelly was born October 27, 1980 in New Castle, Indiana, the son of Robert Eugene Brown and Jama Monger Brown. He was a mechanic, working for Action GM and formerly for Bainbridge Service Center. Kelly was a member of the Hydrilla Gnat Bass Club and Woodmen of the World Lodge 883. He was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting and fishing and enjoyed building 4x4's and mud bogging. Kelly was of the Methodist Faith. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul E. Monger and his uncle, Ted Monger.
