Kerry LaShae Eakin

Kerry Eakin, age 45, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2026, in Memorial Hospital , Bainbridge, Georgia. Services for Kerry will be held at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, August 18, in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home. The Rev. DeWitt Phillips will officiate. A private family burial will be held. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 3:00 pm.

Kerry Eakin was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend whose free spirit and adventurous heart touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Kerry loved the outdoors and found some of her happiest moments in the simple things—going to the creek, being outside, enjoying nature, and spending time with the people she loved. She had a creative spirit and a love for bedazzling art, bringing a little sparkle and personality into the things she created. She was someone who appreciated the beauty of the outdoors and the joy found in everyday moments.

Kerry is survived by her children, Christan Weaver Heath Hooper; Travis Daniels and his son, Tanner Daniels; Danny Daniels; Erika Johnson and her sons, Chason and Westin; Richard Richardson; and Caleb Richardson. She is also survived by her mother, Margie Hurley; her brothers, Brad Eakin and his wife, Kelly Eakin, and Tray Eakin and his wife, Nicki Eakin; and her sisters, Shea Eakin and Heather Eakin, Brittany Howell along with extended family and friends who loved her dearly. Kerry was preceded in death by her son, Ryan Eakin, and her father, Richard Eakin.

Her memory will live on in the laughter, the stories, the time spent together outdoors, the trips to the creek, the little things she made beautiful, and most importantly, in the hearts of the people who loved her.

She may no longer be beside us, but her love, her spirit, and her sparkle will remain with us always.
